Authentic Ancient Bronze AE Drachm from the Kingdom of Elymais, a Parthian vassal state located in southwestern Iran. This is the scarcer Artemis-Tyche reverse variety, which is much more sought after by collectors than the common geometric "dashes" variety. Ruler: Attributed to King Orodes III/IV (circa mid-to-late 2nd Century AD) An AE Drachm (Bronze) coin that weighs 3.8 grams, and has a diameter of 15mm. The obverse features a stylized bearded bust of the King facing forward. Features the diagnostic stacked crescent symbol and inverted Seleucid anchor to the right of his face. The reverse has a highly stylized, abstract profile bust of the Greek Goddess Artemis-Tyche looking left wearing a distinct radiate (spiked) crown. Excellent crisp details on the face and reverse symbols. Kept in a protective cardboard coin flip. $45 B/O
