This is an Authentic Ottoman Empire Piastre (Kurush) This is a high-grade silver-billon Piastre, struck in Istanbul (Constantinople) during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid, this coin has the date, AH1187 with regnal year 11, indicating it was minted in the 11th year of his reign. The obverse features the sultan's second-type Tughra (royal monogram) with the inscription "Struck in Constantinople" The accession date "1187" The reverse has four-row Ottoman inscription "Sultan of the two lands and Emperor of the Two Seas, Sultan son of the Sultan". Grade; AU-58 (about uncirculated) by National Numismatic Certification (NNC). The coin displays excellent detail in the Calligraphy and a pleasing original patina. The luster remains sharp across the high points of the Tughra and reverse script. $125 B/O
