From the Soviet Union (USSR). This was the first year they used this "Blacksmith" design. The coin weighs 10 grams and has .900 silver, (contains 9 grams silver) it has a diameter of about 27mm. The reverse features Art Deco-style "Blacksmith" at an anvil, with the date "1924" below that. The obverse features the early version of the Coat of Arms of the Soviet Union, a hammer and sickle over a globe, top center of the coin, illuminated by sunbeams, with bundles of wheat on each side, surrounding the emblem is the famous Communist motto "Written in Russian Text?" translated to "Proletarian of all countries, unite" "CCCP" is positioned with "CC" on the left side of the globe's base and "CP" on the right side of the globe's base. There is Russian script on the edge of the coin, silver content and the mint mark, indicating it was struck at the Leningrad Mint. $55
