Vintage Victor Hayton Sculpture of Woodpecker - $10 (Baltimore)

There are two of them by the names of Victor and Joseph.
I finally researched both signatured and matched the signature on the bird to the signature of Victor.
It is quite heavy for its size, but have no idea of the composition. I have a feeling it may be a composition of stone and rosin.
