Late 20th Century Aynsley Pembroke Bone China Scallop Shell Serving Bowl
Lovely bone china scallop-shell serving bowl by John Aynsley. It is ivory in color with floral blue and pink design with birds. The rims are painted in gold gilt and scalloped as the top of a seashell would be and sculpted and painted tassels appearing on both elongated sides. This beautiful serving dish is quite unique in design and offers a bit of old-world elegance to a table or to be used to hold the home decor of your choice.
This iconic Aynsley Pembroke pattern was originally introduced in the late 18th century. The manufacturer brought back its floral and bird pattern starting again in the mid-1980s in a reproduction series (marked as such).
