For Sale - the book entitled:

"Jericho : The South Beheld" by James Dickey and Hubert Shuptrine (1974)

(It is 165 pages and is published by Oxmoor House, Inc.)

If you are a southerner or perhaps a southerner at heart, you will love this book.

It is beautifully illustrated by painter, Hubert Shuptrine with the dialogue written by poet, James Dickey.

(Pictures of the book to be posted soon.)

This is a large pictorial book....16 inches by 12+ inches; it is a 'coffee table book' for sure

This is a First Edition copy and apparently it is numbered...

I have a document - a Guaranteed Repurchase Offer for this book since it is a Numbered, First Edition. (This did expire in 1975.)

Unfortunately I don't have any paperwork showing the actual number.

The book itself is in good, clean condition. I don't see any stains or tears.

However the dust cover, is not in good shape. It is torn as shown in the pictures.

Included in this deal, is a separate print by Shuptrine entitled "Late Afternoon". This could be framed; it is 15 inches by 11 inches.

As a throw in, I am also including an article, "Home to Jericho" by Shuptrine, from Southern Living magazine (October, 1987).

Original price (as noted on the dust cover) was $39.99 before the end of 1974 and $60 afterwards.

Today's price is only $20

Cash only, please.

From a smoke free home.

I am also selling a rare, antique two volume set about the Civil War. Please search on book33 to see that listing as well as others.
