DAYTON Oil Fired Torpedo Heater - 170,000 BTU - $350

12345

condition: like new
make / manufacturer: Dayton

I bought this heater two years ago to use in my garage while I’m tinkering around. Big mistake! This thing chased me out of the garage, even on the coldest day. It’s way too much for my little two car garage. This thing literally can heat an entire warehouse, easily! I have about 20 hours of use on it and I finally broke down and bought a smaller propane heater.

Paid over $500 at Walmart, asking $350. Manufacturers description below.

Enjoy quick and ample heating during the colder seasons with the help of this Dayton Oil Fired Torpedo Heater. This forced air device is equipped with an air pressure gauge, a fuel gauge, a built-in thermostat, and an easy-use on and off switch. For added safety, the Dayton oil fired heater also has power failure indicator, flame-out sensor, LED failure alert light and overheat protection. It can accommodate spaces sized up to 4,000 square feet. This 170,000 BTU heater runs on K1 kerosene, number 1 and 2 diesel oil and more. This machine has a tank capacity of 13 gallons.
