IFS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on learning experience in accounting, providing exposure to project accounting, credit card reconciliation, and vendor payments. The ideal candidate will support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, and invoices
• Assist with processing accounts payable transactions
• Perform data entry and ensure accuracy in accounting systems
• Help reconcile project job costs and support project billing
• Maintain and organize financial documentation for audits and compliance
• Assist in tracking equipment and material purchases to appropriate jobs
• Collaborate with the finance team on various projects and administrative tasks
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or recent graduate with accounting degree
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with accounting software is a plus, but not required
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. legally
