FIRN is seeking a Master or Mistress of Ceremony for our International Gala on October 30th from 6-9pm.International restaurants from Howard County and beyond will serve appetizers and desserts to our guests, reminding some of home and introducing others to the wonderful exotic flavors of different lands. There will be international dancing and music to enjoy along with the food. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Columbia on October 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
FIRN is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving the needs of the foreign-born in Howard County for over twenty-five years. It’s mission is to support immigrants as they become productive, self-sufficient citizens in our community. Key services include English language programs for children and adults, translation and interpreting, employment assistance and citizen test preparation classes. We rely heavily on the generosity our volunteers and the support of community leaders to help sustain these programs. This event will help us to continue with our mission.
