Do you love travel, hostelling, and meeting people from around the world? Do you love Baltimore City and want to show the world how great it really is? Get in touch with us at the recently opened HI-Baltimore Hostel located downtown across the street from the Baltimore Basilica, Americas First Cathedral.
We are looking for volunteers interested in leading group tours, outings around the city, and providing unique information about Baltimore.

Volunteer Work Party!
Saturday May 3rd – 10am to 1pm
We will be holding volunteer work parties on the first Saturday of every month. Each month will be directed by a different employee of the Hostel. This way you will get to meet the employees of the Baltimore Hostel and interact with other volunteers. We will create a list of activities to be completed and provide you with the necessary items to tackle that list. Each work party will be followed by a free lunch provided by the hostel.
Saturday May 3rd –
You will be working with Matt Warfield, the hostel manager.
Since Spring has arrived and our guests are wanting to enjoy the outdoors, we will be working on improving and beautifying our rear deck, patio, and back parking lot. This includes the following:
1) Planting flowers
2) Arranging the deck and patio, creating places for guests to interact
3) Sweeping and cleaning up our parking lot and lower patio
4) Cleaning out underneath of the deck
5) Repairing cracks and holes with concrete
6) Improving our trash area
7) Removing all trash and debris to be taken to landfill by hostel staff
8) Installing Lattice to underneath of deck to improve image and quality
9) If time permits, painting lines on our back parking lot.
We have a lot of extra brick that we could use to create a planter on our lower patio. If anyone has interest in creating this planter we would love for you to help out.

The Baltimore Hostel is located downtown across the street from the Baltimore Basilica. We are at 17 West Mulberry Street. Street parking is available a $1 per hour. Take the #3 bus and get off at Cathedral and Mulberry, or the Light Rail and get off at the Lexington Market stop. We are short walk up Saratoga Street with a left on Liberty and a right onto Mulberry.
