Partners In Care Wish List!
Partners In Care is an all-volunteer local community nonprofit providing rides for older individuals to doctors, grocery shopping, etc. and small handyman repairs. (partnersincare.org)
CAN YOU HELP? Partners In Care needs:
-Volunteer drivers!-even a few hours a month is a big help! Drivers use their own cars to give short rides in their own neighborhoods and/or longer rides. They are dispatched out of their homes or offices, one ride at a time at their convenience and earn volunteer credits. (Partners In Care operates using a service-exchange/time-banking model.) Drivers may also receive reimbursement for mileage. OUR NEXT VOLUNTEER ORIENTATIONS ARE APRIL 24, MAY 22 and June 18. Please call us and make a reservation—your choice of 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. (410-544-4800).
Partners In Care also needs:
-An Americorps worker to help with our transportation program. You will earn a living stipend, have free health insurance during their year of service, and can be adults of any age-including active retirees.
-Volunteer handymen and women to make minor home repairs.
-A volunteer event planner to help with our upcoming golf tournament.
-Volunteers who can answer phones and match members receiving services with those providing services.
-Monetary donations
-Donations of clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, household items, books, etc. for its resale boutique at 6 S. Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122. (phone: 410-544-0568.)
-Boutique workers and shoppers! (we're open until 7 p.m. on Thur. and Fri. and all day Saturday!)
-A gently-used pickup truck and a ramp van.
No amount of volunteer time is too large or too small! Please phone 410-544-4800.
