Two days ago, Baltimore City Police finally alerted the public that a serial rapist or two serial rapist have been attacking women in East Baltimore since October 20th. According to various reports, the attackeror attackers have been breaking into homes on the EastSide and approaching women waiting on bus stops in between the hours of 4 to 6 am with weapons ranging from broken bottles and guns.

This is not the first time Baltimore women have been victimized. Last year, Mount Vernon was under higher surveillance due to a serial rapist. His reign lasted longer than nessecary and the public was notified after the seventh victim.

I am a young woman that walks 2.5 miles from school because public transportation is not consistent enough to suit my needs. I cannot afford the estimated 600 dollars a semester to catch a cab back and forth. And I can not constantly request rides from friends and classmates.

As an unemployed uninsured individual, I can not afford the stress this rapist will cause.

So I am going to fight back. I am tired of living in fear that the people around me are going to attack me and take my maxed out credit cards and id. I am tired of wondering if my house will be broken into and my laptop stolen. And I refuse to have a semester's worth of notes ripped away so someone can pawn my pc for a hundred bucks.

Baltimore, I want to take back out streets from this rapist.

I am looking to hold an interest meeting in the next two weeks in my house if necessary but I would prefer a larger conference room or open space. If you know of a free space I could use, I will gladly abuse my printing rights at school to create posters.

I am tired of being scared. Let's get angry!
