By joining our growing network of Video Journalists (VJs) you have opportunities for credentialed journalist access, paid assignments, guidance, continuing education, and mentorship in order to produce relevant and authentic local video journalism for a large and growing audience.
BBN3 is the production hub for stories about local issues and events, delivered in a style that is provocative and universally appealing, offering urban, edgy stories that get people talking and sharing on line.
After joining the network you can get started right away as a VJ level 1 and work your way up to VJ level 2 where you can apply for and suggest paid assignments. As a VJ2 you'll get to use our media accreditation to get behind the scenes and exclusive access to all kinds of cool people, concerts and events. We recently assigned our VJs to interview Weezer, Lady Gaga, Margaret Cho, Common, The New Pornographers, and Simple Plan, as well as arranged access to politicians and events.
A VJ3 is the top dog of BBN3. To get there you’ll have to prove to the world that you've got the skills and experience to handle the toughest and most high profile assignments. As a VJ3 you have first crack at high profile BBN3 assignments like the Nobel Prize Awards.
As a VJ at any level you can suggest your own assignments and get the green light to start shooting right away and are always encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table.

This position is ideal for someone who is pursuing a career in news and would like to enhance their assignment development skills and network within the new media industry. This position will give you the opportunity to work closely with experienced film and television professionals and get a foot in the door with a growing new media company.

Job Description:
Story Editor would start by finding and composing local story assignments that meet the BBN3 mandate:
EDGY, COMPELLING NEWS THAT APPEALS TO 18 – 34 YEAR OLDS AND WILL CREATE BUZZ ACROSS THE WEB.
Once you have proven your skills at the assignment creation level you will have the opportunity to take on a larger role of assignment management, working with VJ’s through the development and production of their video journalism segments.
Additionally, this fall BBN3 will be implementing our VJ on Demand Program, which will offer Story Editors the chance to take on a Producer role in a revenue sharing model of sponsored assignments.

Film Synopsis:
A 64 year old son, returns home to gather and clean out his parents house, who have just passed away. In doing so the son comes across his father’s WW2 trunk that is filled with memorabilia and his personal items. While examining these objects the film goes through a series of “flashbacks,” creating this image of time when the father was actually using them. One of these items will forever change the Son’s life and his image of who is father was.

The production is for Sailing Anarchy's "On-The-Water Anarchy" coverage of the 2009 Melges 24 World Championship. Credit will be given, and the coverage is expected to reach 35,000 unique viewers over the course of the week. Food, beverages, and party passes supplied.
Clark Roberts is a student who majors in Psychology. He studies under Dr. Morrison, who specializes in hypnosis therapy. His main duties are to organize paper work on patients and make sure that Morrison is kept up to date on his patients' histories, but uses this data to discover the patients' worst confessions. Unknown to Dr. Morrison, Clark secretly listens in on the doctor's therapy sessions and has an obsession with writing meticulously about every detail on every patient that Clark considers evil. He has a very pessimistic view of the world and has an almost God-like complex when he listens in on therapy sessions and watches his first victim kill himself. He uses Dr. Morrison's hypnosis techniques to make the patients that he has deemed evil, kill themselves.
Dr. James Morrison is a hypnosis therapist who uses hypnosis only when his patients are comfortable and have gotten to know him. He uses it to get his patients to confess any problems they might have so that he can help them without them knowing it. He keeps his office nice and tidy to make his patients feel comfortable and likes to have plants and flowers as well. He uses a method of playing music to relax his patients in order to hypnotize them and uses it as an excuse at first because he says his plants love to hear the music that sounds like a lullaby. His main concern is to help people and does not judge his patients on anything that they say.
Johnathan Morgan is a construction worker who has a had a hard time. He doesn't believe in hypnosis and is only here because his wife is paying for him to see Dr. Morrsion. He recently lost his job and has been taking it out on his wife by cheating on her and physically abusing her.

Digital Sight & Sound is a small up and coming Home Theater Design and Installation Company. Along with doing quality Home Theater Installs, DSS also does professional onsite repair work that is currently looking for a TV and Audio/Video repair technician.
Repairs include: Plasma, LCD, DLP, Rear projection and Tube TVs. High end Audio and video equipment experience is a plus.
We ask that you have:
-At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing Tube and rear projection TV's.
-At least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing: Plasma, LCD and DLP TV's.
