The Messaging Support Specialist  regularly blends technical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to provide top quality support to ETCs messaging customers.  As a tier-1/2 support specialist, you will qualify, troubleshoot, resolve or escalate issues from clients that contract ETC for support and upgrades of their software.  The systems you might support include; Microsoft Exchange, Unified Messaging, and Office Communication Server, Avaya Messaging solutions, Zantaz Email Archiving Systems, Proofpoint compliance systems, and other voice/email-based messaging applications.  <br>
<br>
The candidate will handle multiple forms of requests (phone call, email message, internet query), work with an internal trouble ticket management system to log the issue and track progress, discuss and qualify the issue with the client, and access the clients system remotely to diagnose and troubleshoot.  Then they will research solutions from internal databases, vendor knowledge systems, and external sources (i.e. newsgroups) as necessary, or work with senior messaging engineers to resolve the issue and update the client.  If the issue appears to be software-related, they will escalate the issue with the manufacturers support organization.<br>

Job Requirements:<br>
<br>
	Must have a technical focus: IT, software, Computer Science, EE backgrounds<br>
	Should have server knowledge: Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003/2007<br>
	Ideally would have Active Directory, domain controller, and security knowledge<br>

Handle incoming calls and system alerts, log and refer the calls and alerts as appropriate, and assist users either in-person, over the phone, or both.   <br>

Diagnose causes of PC, server, and printer hardware problems and failures; and repair, replace, and adjust faulty PC, server and printer hardware components.   <br>

Perform PC, printer, and server preventive maintenance.  Install boards, peripheral devices, new PCs, servers, and printers.   <br>

Move, reinstall and configure PCs, servers, printers and other devices while making necessary network connections.  <br>

Prepare and provide directions/overviews of equipment setup procedures to other staff. <br>

Perform basic network setup tasks that include switch installation and configuration. <br>

Perform basic network troubleshooting tasks that include: network cable testing, cable repair, layer-2 network testing, and packet capture tools. <br>

Prepare technical reports or documentation for basic network maintenance and improvements. <br>
Requirements <br>
Must have Sun Solaris experience <br>

At least (2) years experience in customer and user service, either in person, over the phone, or both. <br>
At least four (4) years experience with Microsoft Windows client operating systems. <br>
At least three (4) years experience with Sun Solaris operating system <br>
At least three (3) years experience with commercial office automation software. <br>
At least four (4) years experience in network operations and support. At least one (1) of these years must have been spent supporting a LAN with a minimum of 500 nodes. <br>

Position Description:<br>
The Systems Administrator/Technical Support position functions as part of CUAs technical support team and will have direct responsibility for the Windows 2003 environment performing duties on a wide range of servers and systems. The position supports all of the windows server hardware / software installations, configurations, patch management, and hardware / software monitoring solutions.<br>

The successful candidate will also provide technical support for a wide array of users. She/he will assume ownership of technical projects and work with other members of the organization to bring projects to completion. A broad skill-set will be needed to be successful in our diverse environment. This is a hands-on position and the candidate will be expected to interact at all levels of any project (analysis and research, recommendations, implementation, testing, training, etc) as needed.<br>
<br>
Duties and Responsibilities:<br>
 Systems administration includes configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues that arise<br>
 Managing the Active Directory implementation and configuration<br>
 Monitoring, implementation, and support of all server based hardware and enterprise applications<br>
 Group Policy implementation and maintenance<br>
 Maintain standards documentation<br>
 Monitor system logs and activity on all Domain Controllers<br>
 Manage distribution and coordinate installation of software updates (application and operating system updates)<br>
 Monitor backups<br>
 Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing<br>
 Evaluating and recommending support tools, applications, appliances to improve the technical operation<br>
<br>
Qualifications<br>
 The position requires a full understanding of Microsoft software solutions (Windows 2003, Active Directory, Terminal Services, LDAP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, RAS, RIS, Windows Clustering, Group Policy, and IIS administration)<br>
 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Windows Systems Administration and Windows Active Directory Administration (MCSE-2003 preferred). Scripting for Active Directory, specifically VBS or WMI<br>
 Experience utilizing group policies<br>
 Working knowledge of VMware<br>
 Good oral and written communication skills - effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization<br>
 Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information<br>
 Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science<br>
 Experience with Exchange 2003/2007 administration <br>
 Understanding of Windows XP workstation OS<br>
 Ability to use Active Directory utilities<br>
 Knowledge of scripting; creation, modification and execution<br>

Velaro is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Support Person who wants an opportunity to help implement better case management procedures to improve follow-up times, track and follow long term issues, and increase customer satisfaction. Although we are looking for a mid-level technical support person, we would consider an excellent junior level technical support person that thrives on learning as much as they can on their own and who is a very quick learner.<br>

	Well organized as this position requires multi-tasking and on the fly prioritization of customer needs. 	Administrate Velaro's CRM.  Along with creating and updating customer cases, you will need to administrate Velaro's CRM.  Identify ways to improve workflow, automate repeat processes, write email templates for auto-responses, and generally be the point person for improving support processes.<br>
<br>
	Schedule, coordinate and execute online trainings, troubleshooting sessions, assist sales team with pre-sales demos/upgrades and customer set-up issues via web conference.  A portion of each week is dedicated to training new customers and going over existing customer issues in web conference meetings.  <br>
<br>
	HTML and Javascript knowledge.  This position requires troubleshooting Velaro code placed on customers' websites, as well as writing technical knowledge base articles.  You need to be comfortable reviewing HTML and Javascript code to look for discrepancies and oversights on customers' implementations.<br>
<br>
	Solid consulting skills.  In many cases customers will be looking to you for advice on how to use live chat.  You will need to get up to speed on Velaro's product and be able to confidently offer advice and solutions to customers.  You will also need to identify when a customer is out growing their subscription level, or by listening to their issues, be able to realize opportunities for upselling and make recommendations to the customer and sales team accordingly.  <br>

	Manage offshore support staff & review tier one customer interaction.  You will be responsible for ensuing our offshore support staff is up to date on new knowledge base articles, best practices and general support guidelines.  You will review tier one support chats, and offer guidance accordingly. <br>

	Proficient computer skills.  We are a technology company, we live online, and we expect you to be comfortable with all MS or Mac office related tools: MS Word & PowerPoint or Pages & Keynote, etc.   As a customer support representative, you will often be using remote desktop software such as WebEx or GoToMeeting and scheduling time with the customer to resolve issues.<br>

You will be working directly with Velaro sales people and our developers, so the ability to work within multiple teams and navigate their schedules in order to get the answers you need is a required skill.  <br>

Key Responsibilities will include:<br>
Install IT hardware as part of deployment projects <br>
Installation of any IT related device found within retail environment<br>
Setup and configuration of installed hardware<br>

1.	Helpdesk:   The KMS will be the Tier 1 level of support for all Knowledge Management related helpdesk tickets. These tickets require prompt response based our Service Management guidelines. KM management will be involved in all Tier II level tickets.  <br>
2.	R&D: researching, testing, developing and recommending new SharePoint techniques, 3rd party tools and webparts for our existing SharePoint environments.  <br>
3.	KM Strategy: The KMS will be part of the KM Strategy creation and evolution process. They should be capable of articulating their position and opinions of our initiatives based on knowledge and experience. <br>
4.	Site Creation and Training: The KMS will be responsible for all basic ClientNet site creation, training new site owners and AD Admin installation with IT. <br>
5.	Infrastructure Support: work with KM management and IT staff to insure all infrastructure upgrades, service packs, security changes and general maintenance.  <br>
6.	Site Monitoring:  The KMS will be responsible for making sure that the existing Site Monitoring metrics for KnowledgeNet are completed on a daily/weekly basis. They will also be responsible for testing all Reporting/Monitoring Software and creating monthly performance reports for the KM management team.   <br>
7.	Utilization Auditing:  The KMS will complete monthly utilization audits of our existing ClientNet sites and report on these metrics.    <br>

Education and/or Experience <br>

	2+ Years proficiency in SharePoint MOSS and WSS 3.0 administration<br>
	2+ Years experience in a Corporate Knowledge Management group preferred. <br>

A training period of approximately 30 to 60 days is required during which time the candidate must be able to work 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Upon completion of training, this job requires a rotating shift schedule which includes: <br>

Evenings: 1:00PM to 11:00PM <br>
Nights: 11:00PM to 9:00AM <br>
Weekends: 10:00AM to 10:00PM (1st Shift) <br>

The Senior Manager of Project Management is a senior manager, possessing excellent people management skills, and very strong process skills. This individual must have proven success in managing multiple concurrent projects in bringing to market a combined software/hardware solution. Further, the Senior Manager of Project Management is detailed oriented possessing strong knowledge of hardware manufacturing, network processors, Intel Architecture (IA), mechanical and electrical certifications. This position calls for a results oriented individual with the ability to translate concerns, problems, risks and deliverables into actions, and manage the closing of the these actions in a cost effective, timely manner.<br>
<br>
The Senior Manager will report to the Vice President, Engineering and will be based in Columbia, MD.<br>
<br>
Scope of Work<br>
<br>
·         Work with other Sourcefire Engineering managers and outside vendors; develop a detailed product development schedule.  Identify and track dependencies for deliverables.  Provide clear and accurate status of deliverables.<br>
<br>
·         Works on abstract problems across functional areas of the business to insure that the next generation hardware is on time and of the highest quality.<br>
<br>
·         Identifies and evaluates fundamental problems through assessment of intangible variables.<br>
<br>
·         Interacts internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of contracts with outside vendors.<br>
<br>
Job Responsibilities<br>
<br>
·         Manage the hardware development and implementation process from concept to production and continually improve the process.<br>
<br>
·         Manage deliverables from our hardware vendors during the development stage, identifying and mitigating risks to the project(s).<br>
<br>
·         Interface with our hardware manufactures to understand, in depth, component level roadmaps.<br>
<br>
·         Interface with multiple hardware vendors to organize and chair business/roadmap reviews.<br>
<br>
·         Interface with Sourcefire Logistics team to track quality and supply issues with hardware.<br>
<br>

<br>
·         Manage the complete BOM (Bill of Materials) for every Sourcefire network appliances.<br>
<br>
·          Integrator and Logistics training on new Sourcefire network appliances.<br>
<br>
·          Responsible for insuring the completeness and integrity of the integrator instructions.<br>
<br>
·          Organize and present options to VP of Engineering and other stakeholders on current hardware trends.<br>
<br>
·          Insure that Support and Field is trained on hardware diagnostics.<br>
<br>
·          Develop and manage a formal ECN process.<br>
<br>

·         B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.<br>
<br>

·         10 years of project management experience in hardware development of a commercial product environment.<br>
<br>
·         Strong knowledge of the current trends in Network Security and Intel Architecture.<br>
<br>
·         Excellent organizational and project management skills.<br>
<br>
·         Strong business acumen.<br>

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br>
<br>
·         Excellent team building skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a collaborative and positive manner.<br>
<br>
·         Proven capabilities of delivering quality commercial products on time.<br>
