Do you want a way into junior and mid-level professional IT positions, such as computer programming, but lack or have been told that you lack experience? Catalyst IT Services is a way to bypass the Catch-22 of needing experience to get a job and a job to get experience. Under our entry-level computer programming program, we provide IT training (in areas such as VB.NET or C# programming languages) for free followed by a job.

Here's how we work: We provide free pre-employment training in skills valuable to today's technology job market, such as VB.NET or C#. Training is Monday-Friday during the business day and is no more than 20 weeks long. The first 14 weeks is unpaid but again it is free. Following the successful completion of those 14 weeks, trainees receive a stipend of $45 a day during the remainder of the training. Upon successful completion of the training, you are hired. In exchange for the training, in lieu of your paying for the training you have received we ask that you work for Catalyst for at least two years. Wages for the first 2 years are a minimum of $12.50 an hour and we do offer health benefits.

We are highly selective, since we make a substantial up-front investment in participants by training them for free. We only accept individuals who meet our minimum requirements and who we have determined to have a high degree of confidence and will do well in a fast paced environment.

To ensure that we recruit and train highly successful individuals, Catalyst requires that all applicants meet the following requirements. All applicants must: be interested in working in web application development and related IT fields; have proficiency with using the Internet and PC's in a Windows networked environment; be at least 18 years old; be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. for thirty continuous months from the first day of training; and have at least a 10th grade math and reading level. Entrance into the program requires successful completion of our screening process, which includes math and reading tests.

Walk-in appointments are not permitted; all candidates must have a scheduled screening appointment. Visa sponsorship is not available. For more information, please visit www.catalystlearns.com. Out-of-area applicants are welcome; however, the company does not pay interview travel or relocation expenses. Catalyst IT Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Are you ready for a different Recruitment Agency Experience – C++ CANDIDATES?

“The candidate experience” is seldom looked at in staffing. Solomon Page Technology Partners has pioneered a new recruitment process that will change your attitude. PREP has been developed and trade marked to service you, the candidate. With PREP, candidates are handled very differently. The recruiting cycle starts off with first contact being made by recruiters who access soft skills and light technical acumen. This is accompanied with informing the candidate about the specific job and company sell points. Next is the Tech2tech phase where one of our technical team members speaks with the candidate. Candidates gain valuable knowledge of the position and what he/she should expect on site. If the candidate is a good fit, they are given a green light and set up for a face to face interview. No resumes stuck in the “black hole”. You will always know where you stand in your job search. Candidates are very thankful that a process is in place where they have a confirmed expectation of what will happen in the recruitment process.

The Role
The successful candidate will join one of our product-oriented team specializing in analytics and display of financial data in such areas as equities, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, commodities, mortgage-backed securities, structured products, or law.
Each application team is an entrepreneurial unit handling the complete development life-cycle of its products. Team members work every phase of development from requirements and design to production roll-out and test. Development is incremental, iterative, and always on a short time fuse.

This is an opportunity to join a diverse, industry-knowledgeable, technically skilled group of software engineers who design highly visible products on the platform.

Knowledge of the world financial markets is a definite plus but not a requirement. Superb application development skills, a strong user-orientation, and creativity are requirements.
