The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Visitor Services Associate to assist with the Museum’s upcoming special exhibition, Cézanne & American Modernism (February 14-May 23, 2010). The ideal candidate will have impeccable customer service skills and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment. <br>
<br>
Responsibilities include: <br>
• Greeting and providing exemplary customer service to BMA Visitors and Members <br>
• Selling tickets for the exhibition and related programs or special events <br>
• Promoting Museum membership <br>
• Distributing and collecting audio tours <br>
• Assisting with general Box Office and Welcome Desk operations <br>
<br>
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 1-3 years cash handling experience and 3-5 years customer service experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required. Must be team oriented, patient, and flexible, and able to work quickly and efficiently while under pressure. Requires standing for extended periods of time and occasional lifting and moving of cartons weighing up to 30 pounds. <br>
<br>
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and familiarity with email and internet applications required. Experience using PCs and working with multi-line phone system, photocopier, fax machine, and scanner preferred. Familiarity with ticketing and fundraising software, and knowledge of art/art history would be helpful. <br>
<br>
The temporary position begins in mid-December 2009 and concludes on May 23, 2010. The work schedule is Wednesday through Friday 9:15 a.m.-5:15 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 10:15 a.m.-6:15 p.m., with some additional evenings required. Pay rate is $10/hour; this temporary position is not eligible for benefits.  Fill in for any staff that calls in without due notice.

Duties Related To The Shift Supervisors include but are not limited to the following:

Assure that the company complies with COMAR regulations pertaining to the physical conditions of each house, to include:

1.	Perform weekly checks of the Fire Alarm System at Marmon.
<br>

2.	Perform required fire drills on a quarterly basis, and document their conduct.
<br>

3.	Update the housekeeping shift sanitary responsibility form, and see that the staff comply with expectations.

4.	Ensure that staff complete all daily reports and logs.

5.	Make unannounced site checks to each house during your tour. 
<br>

6.	Assure that a head check of the residents and staff is made at each shift, ascertaining that staff knows the whereabouts of each resident and the Shift Change Report reflects this.

7.	Observe the relationships of residents and staff, assuring that company protocol of interaction and parenting is being followed, and then recommend how to improve on these objectives, including counseling and training of personnel to prepare them to accomplish this task.

8.	Survey the interior and exterior physical premises, ascertaining that COMAR requirements are being enforced, such as 2 sheets on each bed, nothing on floors under the beds, no impediments to emergency escapes, etc.
<br>

<br>
9.	Assure that all emergency escape plans are posted in each room, and all licenses are on display.
<br>

<br>
10.	Ensure that all staff observe proper security practices, related to items such as company keys, house phones and cell-phones, locked basement doors, proper use of windows as it relates to air conditioning and heat, storage areas, sports equipment and toys, etc.
<br>

<br>
11.	Assure that the company vehicles are properly secured and properly maintained, by effectively supervising the Transportation Specialist.
<br>

<br>
12.	Prepare and update the maintenance repair list and ensure that the repairs are done in a prioritized manner by company staff maintenance person or contracted specialist.
<br>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:<br>

2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. A graduate degree or the equivalent is preferred. Experience living and/or working in a focus region or country is highly desirable.<br>

The Choice Youth Employment Specialist actively supports the mission of The Choice Program, and specifically, meets the employment needs of youth and families in the Choice program. The incumbent is directly accountable to and supervised by the Choice Jobs Service Coordinator. Duties include:  primary responsibility for the operation of the Choice Program’s youth on-the-job training program at the Flying Fruit Fantasy (FFF) Stand at Camden Yards; directly supervising the Choice Jobs Fellow and the 15 plus youth employed at the Flying Fruit Fantasy Stand; managing the FFF Stand during the baseball season; providing individual and group vocational services including;  coordination and delivery of employment skills training services for youth, coordinating employment resources for youth, and providing direct employability skills training to youth; and performing other duties as assigned.  <br>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience working with youth. Six months vocational experience preferred.  <br>
Note: Due to the nature of the workflow and program needs, the Choice Youth Employment Specialist maintains a flexible schedule that goes beyond a 40-hour workweek.  <br>

•	Perform mini-behavior assessments at intake<br>
•	Provide excellent communication, in regards to demographics, medical and behavior issues, with Transport Coordinator, <br>
                     Exam Room staff, Animal Health Care Manager, Kennel Supervisor and Behavior Manager as needed<br>
•	Consult with Behavior Manager/Animal Health Care Manager for possible rescue candidates<br>
•	Intake for ORE’s and stray animals<br>
•	Handle customer complaints/issues and turn them over to the Adoption and Admissions Manager/Front Office Supervisor <br>
                     as needed<br>
•	Assist Front Office Supervisor with training of new staff<br>
•	Other duties may be assigned as needed. <br>

• This position focuses on creating a learning and educational environment for parents. The Parent Coordinator will identify parent and related school/community issues and work with the principal and staff to see they are addressed in a timely manner.<br>

Duties and Responsibilities<br>

• Increase parent involvement in the school by working closely with all school, parents and community organizations.<br>
• Serves as facilitator for parent and school community concerns and issues including, for example, school policies or facilities issues.<br>

• Keep school staff updated about family involvement activities at the school site.<br>
• Conducts outreach to engage parents in their children’s education.<br>
• Convenes regular parent meetings and events around topics of key concerns to parents.<br>
• Attends parent meetings along with the principal, where appropriate.<br>
• Serves as a school liaison to parent support staff.<br>
• Maintains ongoing contact with community organizations that are involved with providing services to the school’s educational program.<br>

• Develop a partnership with another community organization to implement a literacy program for parents of the after-school program<br>
• Document parent/community activities through visual portfolios that include sign-in sheets, flyers, and pictures.<br>
• Design and implement evaluation tools to measure effectiveness of parent meetings and parent/family workshops.<br>

Minimum Selection Criteria<br>
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work in an area related to the duties described above; or an Associate’s degree and four years of experience in community work; or six years of experience in community work in an area related to the duties described above.<br>

The following qualifications are also preferred for the position:<br>
• Familiarity with the Baltimore City public school system.<br>
• Experience with convening workshops.<br>
• Bilingual – able to serve a Spanish speaking population.<br>

The Volunteer Recruiter & Trainer will assist in recruiting new CASA volunteers by coordinating public awareness campaigns, conducting initial interviews with potential volunteers, coordinating background checks, and following up regarding training schedule. The AmeriCorps Member will be assisting in the recruitment effort to double the number of volunteers and to increase diversity within the volunteer pool, including race, gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background. The AmeriCorps member will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the training curriculum for new volunteers. The AmeriCorps member will assist the Executive Director with the planning, scheduling and conducting all trainings that will enable VFC to offer more frequent pre-service and in-service training opportunities.  The AmeriCorps member will receive a monthly living allowance, health insurance, and a post-service educational award.  <br>

Maryland CASA Association is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring all children who have experienced abuse and neglect their right to safe, permanent homes. Maryland CASA supports the development and success of the state’s fifteen local Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs. <br>
<br>
All AmeriCorps Member volunteers will be required to work for a 10-month period from January 2010 to October 2010. Members will receive an intensive orientation at the beginning of the service year that includes AmeriCorps training in addition to standard CASA program training. After orientation, each AmeriCorps member will participate in 15 hours of AmeriCorps training and 30-35 hours of CASA training. Once trained and oriented, the AmeriCorps members will be placed at one of the 5 CASA AmeriCorps service sites in Baltimore City, Baltimore, Prince George's, Carroll and Talbot Counties. AmeriCorps members will also attend a Maryland CASA Association AmeriCorps Member Volunteer Program retreat halfway through their service year and a wrap-up session at the end of the service year. <br>
<br>
Full-time AmeriCorps Members receive a living allowance of $11,400, a post-service educational benefit of $4,725, and health insurance if they are not already covered. They may also qualify for a child care allowance. Part-time opportunities may also be available.<br>

Responsibilities:<br>
·         General Management: Day-to-day management of all resettlement and asylee services and support programs; coordinate with the Baltimore-based Executive Director on the direction and management of the office, including grant writing, resource development and annual planning; supervise staff and provide appropriate coaching, mentoring and support; provide quality human resource management including annual performance evaluations of direct reports; represent IRC in the local community.<br>

·         Proven track record developing and maintaining diverse, productive and diverse teams<br>

·         Ability to represent the IRC in public forums, meetings and in the community; ability to develop and support external partnerships<br>

·         Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written<br>

Required Education, Knowledge and Skill Abilities to Perform Essential Job Functions:<br>
An AA degree with at least two (2) years experience in mental health/psychiatric rehabilitation/related human services or a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Ability to work as a team player is necessary. A good driving record is also essential. Ability to respect individual choice in the recovery process is required. Also, this position requires good verbal and written communication skills and the understanding to respect the abilities and limitations of consumers.<br>

Summary of Essential Functions, Responsibilities and Duties<br>
•	Perform initial assessment and develop Individual Rehabilitation Plans<br>
•	Perform monthly progress notes<br>
•	Participate in Client Service Team<br>
•	Communicate with the Rehabilitation Team Coordinator to ensure continuum of service<br>
•	Provide program coverage in all areas and in all aspects<br>
•	Provide off site services<br>
•	Perform medication monitoring<br>

Minimum Selection Criteria<br>

CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offers a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, and provides supportive services to patients and family members. <br>

CCFA seeks a Part Time, Temporary Walk Coordinator for our walk campaign, Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis. The position will start in Decemeber 2009-May 2010, 20 hours per week, flexible schedule. This individual will specifically be working on the recruitment by untapped community outreach, retention and cultivation of participants and teams for the Take Steps program. In addition, staff will be expected to work with local volunteers to coordinate day of event logistics plans.  Responsibilities also include extensive grassroots marketing, awareness building and aggressive outreach to GI/Medical community. Also, phone calls and in person meetings with current and past Take Steps participants.  Additional responsibilities include, managing event records, data entry, mailings & web site/email activities.  <br>

MST Therapist are charged with helping the youth and family to conceptualize the problem(s), and they must prepare treatment plans, implement interventions, review outcomes and revise strategies, as indicated, using the MST Analytic Process. They provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices and are responsible for maintaining clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts in order to promote peer and supervisory review and feedback. They must participate in all MST trainings, supervision sessions, and consultation activities. <br>
<br>
Appropriate candidates will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related subject area. <br>
Preferred experience includes: direct use of pragmatic (structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies, individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques, marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches, behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance, and implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood).<br>
<br>
 They must be able to work both independently and as a team, able to engage families in treatment, and able to work with families from a strengths-based perspective.  We seek therapists who view problems and goals in a systematic way that can be measured, who have strong time management skills, and who have a high tolerance for working with difficult populations. Preferred knowledge includes: family systems theory and application, social ecological theory and application, behavioral theory and application, cognitive-behavioral theory and application, pragmatic family theory and therapeutic application, child development research and therapeutic applications, and social skills assessment and interventions.<br>

Responsibilities include...<br>
1. Master complexities and requirements of IOM memorandum of understanding “MOU”, and manage LIRS loan data to comply with the MOU requirements.  <br>
2. Interface with IOM, IRIS, credit bureau and LIRS resettlement and accounting staff to resolve issues and differences.  <br>
3. Insure integrity of loan system data by testing it and adjusting it as necessary.<br>
4. Provide manager with reconciled audit trail of all processes and adjustments each month.  Ensure appropriate written approvals are obtained when needed.  Provide appropriate documentation to support transactions, and adequate electronic log of transactions in loan system.<br>
5. Manage monthly client statement process, and relationship with printer vendor to ensure timely and accurate communications with clients.<br>
6. Research and resolve bad addresses for loan clients.<br>
7. Communicate and anticipate effects of work that impact others in the loan unit, and adjust work patterns to smooth-out workloads as needed.<br>
8. Process all incoming loans related mail – resolve or distribute issues as appropriate.  Track all issues requiring follow-up with clients.<br>
9. Serve as back up for the Loan Counselor function including answering the telephone during peak periods and absences, responding to client inquiries, and handling payments over the phone.<br>
10. Serve as back up for the travel loan assistant function including transcribing and assigning voice mail messages and maintaining log of telephone inquiries.<br>
11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.<br>

Salary and Terms<br>
This full-time position, based in Baltimore, is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. The salary, in grade level 22, is negotiable and commensurate with experience. An excellent benefit package is offered. <br>
