You know, tunes that get the people moving. We def want to throw in some obscurities to keep the peeps on their toes. Not looking to be like every other bar band (not exactly a unique goal, we know).

Wats happenin?? I have been playing bass for about 2 years, and guitar for about 6. I am also able to do backing vocals fairly well. I've been in 4 bands, 2 of which were pop punk, one was a Post-Hardcore type band, and the other was a death metal band. I have always loved pop-punk and REAL hardcore ((not scene emo kid hardcore)) I have a half stack bass rig (Acoustic 115 and an acoustic 200 head), and a guitarist friend that is just as good as me that would definitely be down to be ours if he likes our sound. I've put on a hand full of shows ranging from friends around a campfire all the way up to places like sonar main stage.

Some of my influences would include Set your goals, Title Fight, Trapped Under Ice, Alarmed, Man Overboard, Four Year Strong, Balance and composure, as well as many others types of genres and styles.

No drugs, some drinking, no ego, have a job, have a license and car, easy to get along with, have good song ideas, don't mind what you do as long as your committed.

We also play more contemporary band songs from artist like Casting Crowns and Third Day.

Qualifications -

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in guitar from Berklee College of Music in 2006. I've studied with many world renowned teachers, such as Charlie Banacos, Bruce Bartlett, and grammy winner Dave Samuels, amongst others. I've taught guitar for the last 11 years and have played all kinds of gigs in all kinds of places. I've played guitar with platinum selling artists, and I've recently done studio work with a record producer for a major record label.
I still practice every day.

Rates - 30 minute lesson = $25
60 minute lesson = $40

Our musician would come to your home to teach your child how to play their reed instrument ( Bflat , alto, bass, contra bass clarinet; soprano, alto, tenor saxaphone Only) Sorry no openings for strings, brass or percussion at this time. You provide the instrument and reeds, we will provide a general curriculum including practise scales, articulation and rythm excersizes as well as music and sooo much more. There are no auditions required. A brief playing 'test' will be required on the first day so our teacher can can tailor your sessions to your childs need. If this is the first time your child has touched an instrument thats fine too. We always start from the basics and work our way up. This is perfect for elementary and middle school students. Sessions are generally 90 minutes long but they can be as long or as short as you would prefer. For standard 90min session the charge is $30 and payment is always due in cash at the end of each session.

i'm a ragtag, experimental, psychedelic, electronic, electric, acoustic, overdubbing, loopy, home-recording, etc, musician/artist of sorts, seeking contact outside of my immediate bubble. i'm down in arlington, va and looking to maybe explore outward and onward. i've had fun visiting and listening to some rad music from up north (bmore, philly) and some down south (c-ville, richmond) ... i figure i should continue to reach out to these areas (maybe its just the mood of the season but dc seems so artistically stagnant sometimes).

Bass player looking to form an original reggae rock band. Emphasis on the rock part...I'd want to do some pretty heavy stuff with an edge and then go into reggae breakdowns. In my opinion, a good song has a lot of mood changes and diversity, so thats what I'm shooting for.
