I can sing if that is what is needed.. I have been playing for 16 years. I am 28 married with a daughter and an over full time job.. so I don't have much time.. and i don't have much money for travel.. but I still have that burning need to play music and to play music for God... and so .. please if you live in harford county and you play music and you are in anyway interested ... let me know.. 40 years young and fit, bass playing, family and career man looking to get back into a rock n� roll band. Have solid gear, back-up and lead vocal ability, good work ethic and no drama or substance abuse issues. I play keyboards and have good keyboard equipment as well. I�m interested in joining or forming a solid cover, perhaps eventually an original rock n� roll band with a sound similar to the following: The Black Crowes, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Eagles, Jet, The Cult, Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers, The Wallflowers, old Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, AC/DC, old Bryan Adams, Kiss, and Extreme. I enjoy some nostalgic 80�s metal every now and then (like Tesla). I�m also a fan of Marc Broussard (non-spiritual stuff), Johnny Lang and Delbert McClinton. As you can see I like harder classic rock but also am into blues-based rock and soul. I am dedicated and prefer the efficiency of a one day a week practice with homework in between. I can gig once to twice a month and am in it more for fun than for money. However, money never hurt for a professional effort either. Let me know if you have any interest. Hello all!

My music project is in need of an experienced keyboards player. We're relatively new as a group, so not too many originals just yet. We are hoping to play shows in the future, get something recorded, etc. It's hard to put a label on our genre, we play a combination of industrial sounding rhythm with electronic melody. The keys player we're looking for should be able to create ambiance for background, rich melodies to lead, or harmonize with guitar, either separately or simultaneously depending on the song structure.

We are all also young, 21, 21, and 23 years old, so we're looking for someone around that age. As of now it's just myself on guitar, a bass player, and a drummer, and hopefully soon we'll have a keyboardist to complete the sound we're looking for!

We're a 40+ something cover band with a 26 year old female lead singer (who has some pipes!!) We're doing mostly 70's classic rock and some newer tunes. Velvet Revolver. Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Robin Trower, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath, Rage Against the Machine, AC/DC, Jeff Beck, Eagles... you get the picture. Open to some current stuff as well.

We're looking to add a keyboardist and/or ideally some additional lead or rhythm guitar. We have a great place to practice in Ellicott City (usually on Monday nights) and have an open invitation to try our stuff out in a live situation gig at The Victory Lounge in Pasadena.

You load up the van, sweat like a pig
And haul it all off to do your next gig

You arrive to the gig just a little bit late
And set up the system like the manual relates
It's just about done when you begin to despair
As the manager yells "you can't put that there!"

He points and you move it all where he says it goes
You're ready to cry when the house power blows
Your bandmates are cussin, the pressure is on
But try as you might, you don't know what's wrong

You're struggling and straining, sweating and stressed
This is one gig you won't play your best
You're a musician, don't mess with the gear
Do the right thing - hire a Sound Engineer

Call Me!

Trying to play and run sound at the same time is a total PITA. There's no way you can do both well.

Optimizing and running other people's systems is mainly what I do.

In the club/pub circuit, I usually get a call when the unfortunate musician saddled with being the soundperson gets tired of being responsible for the band's sound and PA system, a situation I can sympathize with fully!

What I do:

Turn up early at the venue, check in with the venue management/ staff,

check out stuff like stage space, location for PA equipment, board etc,

check out the power situation, location and safety,

check out snake and cable runs.

When the band arrives,

help load in,

position PA & monitors,

run the snake,

set up mics & stands,

make sure the power distribution for sound & back line is sane & safe,

set up the board & FX rack,

check the sound system is getting signal to PA & monitors,

run sound check with the band.

Run sound during the show.

At the close of the show,

dismantle sound gear,

wrap cables

help load out.

I generally bring along my own Board, FOH FX rack and a few good mics.

I've been a live sound engineer for over 30 years. I have settled in Baltimore after a long time on the road and I'd like to do my thing locally.

Eventually the player could have an equal voice in songwriting and arrangement as well. Midi/ sequencing/ programming skills a plus.

High Energy - "Modern Rock Rhythm/Lead Guitarist" seeks established band or willing to start a new project with the right people.
Song list must consists of modern rock hits ranging from the "early-mid 90s to today" with a few classics thrown in as well as some old favorites done "our way".

Hello all!

My music project is in need of an experienced keyboards player. We're relatively new as a group, so not too many originals just yet. We are hoping to play shows in the future, get something recorded, etc. It's hard to put a label on our genre, we play a combination of industrial sounding rhythm with electronic melody. The keys player we're looking for should be able to create ambiance for background, rich melodies to lead, or harmonize with guitar, either separately or simultaneously depending on the song.

We are all also young, 21, 21, and 23 years old, so we're looking for someone around that age. As of now it's just myself on guitar, a bass player, and a drummer, and hopefully soon we'll have a keyboardist to complete the sound we're looking for!

I'm a solid, experienced bassist looking to hook up with an original band. My style is pocket groove with some relevant fills thrown in, in a similar style to Sting, McCartney, and James Jamerson. My genres of influence include straight rock, R&B, funk, punk, blues, alt-country, garage, etc. Not looking for a particular genre, just something where those influences would be pertinent. I'm NOT interested in metal, hardcore, cookie monster bands, country, hiphop, christian, or cover bands (some percentage of covers is OK, but not more than say 5-10%).

I'm in the city, would like the band to be somewhat nearby...will drive some.
