Congregations Concerned for the Homeless is an essential component in the continuum of care for homeless families in Howard County. As the providers of the majority of the county’s transitional housing, we are the bridge from life in an emergency shelter to a real home.
Donations
Donated items can make a significant difference in the day-to-day life of a CCH family. As the average income of a CCH family is about $25,000, a gift card for gas can help a mother avoid the choice of getting to work or having meat for dinner; help with costs of a summer camp can open a door for child.
Here’s how you can help.
Gift cards
Gas
Food
Restaurants
Movies
Community events
Registration costs
school field trips
Bible school
pre-school
summer camp
Appliances and household furnishings.
When a specific need arises, CCH issues a call to congregations and other community resources for items in new or “gently used” condition. CCH has no pick-up capacity, so it is always helpful when donated items can be delivered directly to a CCH housing unit.
