Senior Semiconductor Automation Engineer

We are seeking a person with solid experience as an architect and developer on semiconductor equipment integration projects. Responsibilities of the position include determining the best way to interface GEM/SECS-compatible tools to our host system and MES based on business needs, and then making it happen. You will work directly with Manufacturing Operations and Process Engineering to gather system functionality and user interface requirements. You will develop factory automation systems, with the goal of controlling tools and providing real-time and historical information to support operations, maintenance, and process development. It will be your job to determine how we can help the factory achieve its business goals. This position reports to the Manufacturing Systems Manager in Information Technology.
Minimum Requirements:
• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least three years of Fab-related experience developing equipment integration solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the development of semiconductor equipment automation applications.
• Ability to execute all aspects of developing, implementing, and supporting the software required to integrate semiconductor equipment with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Possess and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Semiconductor Equipment Communication Standard (SECS), the Generic Equipment Model (GEM) and other SEMI standards associated with semiconductor process, measurement and automation equipment.
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), MES and WIP tracking concepts.
• Proven record as a forward-thinking architect of high-availability, low-maintenance information systems.
Preferred Skills:
• Programming strengths in AutoShell and Tcl/Tk scripting languages.
• Database programming experience in SQL Server (T-SQL) or Oracle (PL/SQL).
