POSITION OVERVIEW:
The company is committed to being the quality leader in the markets we serve. We are seeking a person with a strong motivation to improve the quality of company products and processes through the application of continuous improvement methods. This is a new position with a focus on Supply Chain Quality Management as it relates to suppliers of materials and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and implement quality management processes. Initial focus will be on the vendor supply chain.
Develop metrics and continuously improve the vendor supply chain processes.
Integrate quality management processes with PeopleSoft.
Apply DMAIC and other six sigma tools to continuously improve all aspects of product, process and service quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in a technical discipline
Experience in a continuous improvement capacity in a manufacturing environment, 5-10 years is preferred
Black belt (or similar) certification is desired
Track record of developing and implementing supply chain business processes including specifications, contracts, nonconformance reporting and corrective action
Experience in a PeopleSoft manufacturing and/or quality management environment
ISO 9000 - 2000 Quality Management System background
