Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Reports To: Engineering Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Provides electrical expertise and know-how to help the engineering department with new product lines, large scale projects, and customer troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Fully develop new and existing product line offerings.*

2. Produce AutoCAD drawings and schematics for products and custom systems.*

3. Assist in electrics projects and value-added engineering methods.*

4. Interpret designs/drawings. Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors. *

5. Develop and design DC circuits. *

6. Attention to detail in completing work tasks.

7. Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.

8. Managing one's own time in order to meet deadlines.

Education/Experience:
A B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Three to five years related experience and/or training. In depth knowledge of DC circuits and micro-processors.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate and speak effectively to peers and supervisors.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs, and the internet. Solidworks experience a plus.

Special Skills:
Ability to read wiring diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits
Ability to diagnostic equipment effectively
