ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
„X CWI certification required
„X BS in Engineering or Construction Management required
„X 10 years of experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 5 years ¡§hands on¡¨ field experience (preferably in heavy industrial)
„X Strong verbal and written communication skills ¡V previous experience working with project teams, subcontractors and owners/clients
„X Computer proficient
„X Interpretation of construction documents experience preferred
„X A.I.A. registration or P.E. preferred
„X Previous experience researching corrective options and ability to make recommendations
„X Experience establishing a weekly work schedule
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
IMPROVES PROJECT QUALITY BY:
„X Performing weekly pro-active quality reviews of all active construction projects
„X Performing pre-installation conferences with all critical subcontractors
„X Documenting all quality inspections and pre-installation meetings
„X Reviewing shop drawings for quality issues as requested by Project Managers
„X Researching corrective measures when necessary
IMPROVES CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS BY:
„X Documenting field conditions and conveying to project team through photos and detail revisions
„X Providing support for project specifications as requested by the design team
„X Providing plan reviews as requested by the design team
TEACHES QUALITY METHODS AND EXPECTATIONS TO SUPERINTENDENTS AND
PROJECT MANAGERS BY:
„X Completing weekly quality inspections and documentation
„X Interpreting project details and specifications
„X Performing quality inspections with Project Managers and Superintendents monthly
IMPROVES CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS BY:
„X Ensuring a high quality project
„X Performing quality reviews with Owners on a monthly basis
„X Identifying and conveying quality components of project to Owners
MAINTAINS PROJECT SAFETY BY:
„X Notifying Superintendents of any safety concerns at quality reviews
„X Documenting major safety violations to Project Managers, Superintendents and Safety Manager
„X Including safety concerns with Superintendents and Subcontractors at pre-installation meetings
