Vice President and Group Division Head
Reporting to the COO of the company, this Vice President and Division Head will have a thorough understanding and be responsible for the technical and engineering needs of the company that operates within a naval architecture and marine engineering project environment. This person will have successfully lead a team of engineering professionals have the ability to see the big picture and envision how engineering disciplines distribute, collaborate and integrate in a multi-project environment to create the end product on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a properly staffed organization and must have experience in:
* Establishing and operating an engineering process development methodology,
* Mentoring and training engineering staff,
* Establishing and monitoring high quality product development goals
* Have experience in development and enhancement of engineering environment of leading edge computer-aided analysis, engineering, management tools and technologies
The Division Vice President should have demonstrated experience in all technical areas of;
* Functional ship systems requirements,
* Naval architecture to include weight, stability and seakeeping analysis, structural and shipboard systems analysis, engineering specification and analysis of propulsion and auxilixary systems, HVAC, electrical and shipboard piping systems,
* Familiarity with early phase total ship system design,
* Experience with engineering support and contribution to overall ship systems detailed design and familiarity with military and commercial system design standards.
* Experience in costing construction cost of building a new ship.
The successful candidate will have a:
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in naval and marine engineering
* Minimum of 10 years of this experience in a senior management role, with emphasis on roles within a US Navy engineering and marine architecture services company.
* Will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in naval architecture, marine engineering or related engineering discipline.
* Professional engineering certification
* Will have a Naval background
* Will be able to obtain a security clearance
