I am seeking between 1 to 3 people, or more, to assist with producing this short. The shoot will only take one or two days and will be scheduled sometime after Christmas.
I am in search of a Make-up artist, a Renaissance Costume Enthusiast, and a Drag Queen.
MAKE-UP ARTIST
Ideally the person in this role has experience with both film and theater. I will be playing multiple roles and will need to find ways to distinguish between specific characters besides costume. I’m hoping that this person has done make-up for both men and women, and has a collection of wigs, false beards, and a number of tricks up his/her sleeve to truly make this unique project a well-done piece. I would prefer that they also be available the day of the shoot to help with the transitions. Also, I would be totally willing to shave my head should that be required.
RENAISSANCE COSTUME ENTHUSIAST
I will need someone with extensive knowledge and a collection of costumes or sundry items of the period. I already have a few things, but I would greatly appreciate borrowing anything listed below. I don’t have much money to spend on this stuff and I would only need it for one day. We will work to collaborate on the look of the piece. Some particular period-looking items I am looking for include:
- Doublets of different colors and styles
- Kilts and/or wraps
- Scottish renaissance militaria (armor, hats, gloves, swords, boots, etc.)
- Cloaks
- Daggers
- Women's dresses which could possibly fit a man...which brings me to the next point…
DRAG QUEEN
My particular role in this piece will involve me playing multiple parts, including that of a female. As any historian will tell, this was not unusual in Shakespeare's time hence my interest in approaching a drag queen: someone who is familiar with differences between male and female vocalization and physicality. I am fascinated with the idea of portraying a female character. As a performing artist, I want to experience crossing the threshold of gender and approach a role intended for women with the same organic approach as a good male actor approaches roles intended to be played by men. I would like to meet with this person and explore what it means to ‘be’ a woman.
Producer (some management experience helpful. Must be able to time a show)
Director (some experience is needed in directing)

Audio Operators (A1 & A2 – will train)
Floor Directors (must be able to take control of the studio floor / take charge attitude mandatory)
Camera Operator (experience in robotic cameras is a +)
