Szobrász Studio is the creation of Ferenc Gregor, a first generation Hungarian American sculptor. Ferenc has been carving for over 20 years, utilizing natural materials and a diversity of techniques. His ability to render intricate details in small-scale works quickly earned Ferenc respect as a world-class carver.
Across the years, Ferenc honed his skills and diversified his interests, finding inspiration in the works of Old World masters. The artist transitioned to include larger scale works, predominantly in stone, maintaining the ability to produce exquisite detail rarely seen in the industry today. He has completed hundreds of sculptural works in various media for governmental, private, and commercial clients; his award winning pieces are prized by collectors world wide.
Ferenc's deep respect for the materials and command of the techniques that he uses are uniquely apparent in every piece he sculpts. Whether large or small, the quality and style of Szobrász Studio works are unmistakable.

Szobrász Studio is a proud member of the Maryland State Arts Council and has received awards from Sleighton House Galleries (Sculpture), The Chesapeake National Knife Show (Best Presentation for Custom Knives), National Association of Music Merchants (Best New Product and also contracted to carve Masters for BC Rich Guitars and Pro-Mark Music). Ferenc was granted a recommendation to the Archdiocese for his work at Villa Julie and his work on the National Cryptologic Memorial "They Served in Silence" (A Department of Defense contract) was featured in the PBS Documentary "History of the NSA".
